No sleep and the next factor!

I swear it seems like these newborns have been conspiring with one another.  When a client approaches me about capturing images of their newborn (usually soon to be -newly born) child, I explain to them that the first 7-10 days are the optimal time.

sleeping peacefully

Why? you say- because at less than two weeks of age they’re generally sleeping all the time.  This makes it easier to create the cute curly posed baby images that lots of moms want. ..but lately, it’s like they’re passing around a message that says- “Sleep Is for Suckers!

Personally, I love the drama that shows in images of a fussy baby.  It’s as if baby Trey is saying “what is wrong with this world?  It’s just too hard!”  But the next minute he’s all smiles and perfectly content- letting off good vibes that say life is good.

That’s the beauty of newborn photography.  You never know what you’re going to get.  But every image captured is the essence of new life, new beginnings, a fresh and innocent start.  And as challenging as it can be, the images capturing each  fleeting moment make it worth it.  If you or someone you know is expecting, or recently had a baby,  I would love to create a unique maternity or newborn session just for you.  A gift certificate from Tiffany Powell Photography for a newborn session is a unique gift that will keep on giving long after the baby grows into a toddler and young adult.

Content

And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better.  Just watching Tre do his thing and keeping him happy and comfortable along the way he reminded me of the one thing every new parent eventually learns.  As much as we try to think and act like we are in control…

Cutest little bear ever

We definitely are not!

And so it goes- we’re done here!  Thanks for a  great session baby Tre- can’t wait to see you again in a few months to see what’s next!
