I can hardly believe that this year I will celebrate my 5th Christmas as Jackson’s mom. Wow does time fly or what. I grew up in a large family with an even larger extended family. Every year for as long as I can remember my family and friends that are like family came together at my parents house for a day full of celebration and fellowship. I can still picture so clearly the large candy cane that hung by the door with a pocket for me and each of my siblings for cards and small kick-knacks and the personalized ornaments that my mother made for each one of us. As he gets older its increasingly important to me that we create some holiday traditions of our own. This year we will be traveling to spend a spirited day with my family in Massachusetts at the home of my mother and sister and I can’t wait for the excitement of the day. However, in the meantime I’m all about creating lasting memories here in Atlanta.
This year we kicked off the holiday season with a trip to Six Flags Holiday in the Park. It was absolutely spectacular. Nothing beats seeing all of the sparkling lights while you enjoy the rides. Jackson enjoyed the North Pole Village and told Santa everything he wants for Christmas.
