I always love when I have an opportunity to the Center for Civil and Human Rights. As the Center approaches their one year anniversary from opening it’s doors in 2014 they have scheduled some wonderful programs and activities to commemorate this moment. This week I was privileged to photograph their Human Rights Summit and hear passionate discussions on environmental health and justice, human trafficking and the intersection/ influence of the student movement of the 1960s and modern day movements, protests and riots.
There was an intimate reception and the unveiling of an updated sign indicating that Estela Barnes de Carlotto had indeed found her own grandshon after looking for him for over 35 years.
The Power to Inspire Tribute Dinner was lovely.
